WombleTech, Enterprise Web 2.0, and Product Innovation

Last summer, Andy and I presented on Enterprise Web 2.0 and Product Innovation to a crowd at WombleTech in Charlotte, NC. The event is hosted by Ted Claypoole of Womble Carlyle, a top law firm in the Carolina & DC areas.

Joining us onstage was Greeley Koch, VP of Corporate Solutions for TRX. We have worked with Greeley over the past year to co-develop a new product offering called TRAVELTRAX, a web-based Travel & Expense reporting tool for small to medium-sized businesses. TRAVELTRAX is a great case study on how a company can leverage existing business processes and intellectual property to create a new Web 2.0 product offering. As such, it was great having Greeley to there to share TRX's story.

Our presentation is broken into three sections:

  1. Andy providing an overview of Enterprise Web 2.0 and how it differs from Consumer Web 2.0.
  2. Greeley describing the business case for TRAVELTRAX, and demos the application.
  3. I wrap things up with a roadmap for Web 2.0 product innovation within the Enterprise.
